Pretty Bedroom Storage!

Hi everyone!

I thought I'd film a super short video today on a few little storage solutions I have in my bedroom, specifically all the pretty jars I have! I'm thinking of making these short, snappy videos a more regular thing; they give a little insight into my room whilst it's not quite ready to be shown in a full room-tour, and they don't take up much of my/your time! :)

As someone who scrapbooks a lot, and is often in the middle of some other crafty project, good storage is really essential for me! I don't have a lot of space in my bedroom and as a result, I often go for storage solutions that are fit for purpose, but will also look nice if I have to leave them out on show. For example, I've got a beautiful patterned box full of old school stationery, that sits prettily under my dressing table! It looks cute, so who cares if it's absolutely full to the brim with old rubbish ;)

In terms of my scrapbook supplies, jars and baskets are a win win situation; my stuff looks pretty, and it's all organised! My favourite places to pick up jars etc are IKEA, B&M and Home Bargains. None of the storage items above cost more than £3, which I think is fab.

If you'd like to see more, here's the (very short) video;

(Very Late!) Sunday Snippets #21!

Bringing back the photos of sleepy Noodles, it's just too cute! / Setting up my new Paperchase planner / Replying to my penpals / Studying, studying, studying, / More stationery buys! / My comfy bed / Boyfriend looking silly in said comfy bed / Mum sent me a photo of my Dad on their weekend away / Bunny cuteness in my bedroom decor!
I honestly don't have a lot to tell you this week, you'll be able to see from the video that I did absolutely nothing really! The weather has taken a turn for the worse and I think it's safe to say that summer is officially over: *cries into pillow*

You might see that yet again there's a bit of a planner/stationery theme; it's becoming an obsession! I'm addicted to planners and absolutely love my new one that a YouTube friend sent me, it's perfect for everything I like to include in an organiser. I've also bought cute letter sets so that I can reply to my penpals, lots of "Back to School" stationery from W.H. Smith and I think I've finally decided on how I'm going to write in my journal from now on... (I hate the Dear Diary style of journaling, I give up after about a day!) Like I said... stationery has become an obsession.

I just thought I would add onto the end here, that I received nearly £30 in donations for the bunnies the other day! It was so generous of my online friends :) I now have enough to get one bunny neutered, but I'm still fundraising for their vaccinations, and the second neuter. If you'd like to donate, they have their own fundraising page HERE, and they also have their own PayPal account for those that prefer PayPal. The address for that is: :)

Here's this week's vlog;

I hope you're all well!

La de Dah Scrapbook Supplies! | Full Review Video

First of all, I'd like to apologise for the fact that this post, and my last one, are lacking in text; I've just been so exhausted lately and writing blog posts has been low on my priority list. Dissertation work, visiting with family and taking care of the animals has had to come first I'm afraid!

Anyway; around 6 weeks ago, Trimcraft generously sent me their new range of La de Dah journals and embellishments, and after a few months of using and enjoying them... it's time for a full video review! As you can see from the video, I absolutely love this brand and I happily would have purchased all of these items myself, (the same way I purchased their entire first collection!) had it not been sent to me first.

Here is the video!

Have a lovely day,

Sunday Snippets #20!

Last Sunday night with friends / Such a thoughtful gift in the post / August's Gossamer Blue scrapbook kit / I was in the paper with the foster babies! / Noodles having a nap / Pickle using Noodles as a sofa / Rainbow outside my house / B&M mini-haul / I hit 3,000 subscribers!
What a crazy week that was. Monday saw me becoming national news in Croatia, when people took offence to my holiday vlogs. (I said I'd gotten sick of eating pizza... a seemingly innocent comment you would think. Apparently not!) I received hate mail for two days, including threats and more insults than you could probably ever think up. It was insane. The worst part is that I was looking after my boyfriend's twelve year-old niece when the hate mail started; she was totally bemused when I burst into tears and rang the police, haha. Thankfully it all blew over very quickly, and all those extra views will mean a bigger paycheck for me at the end of the month... silver linings, eh? Believe it or not, I was in the English papers last week too! This time as a way of promoting Southampton Rabbit Rescue and all the foster babies :)

This week I also received some lovely goodies in the post (an A5 planner from my YouTube friend Kylie, and my August Gossamer Blue scrapbook kit!) and I hit 3,000 YouTube subscribers!

My weekend was spent with the boyfriend as usual; on Friday we chilled indoors, and on Saturday we visited his friends in Bournemouth. Saturday night I had a family friend's 18th birthday party to go to, and then we went out in town afterwards. Sunday was my boyfriend's niece's 2nd birthday BBQ, followed by a nap for me! Here's the latest weekly vlog;

I hope you're all well, see you soon!

Croatia Travel Album | La de Dah Journal

Hey everyone,

Today on my channel I'm sharing my Croatian travel album! Nearly everything I used was from the La de Dah journalling range* (kindly sent to me by Trimcraft to review, however I absolutely loved the range beforehand and had already bought their entire first line with my own money!) The colours and style of this journal, the Boho journal, were absolutely perfect for my holiday snaps and truly, these scrapbooks are a joy to work with. Every page is like a work of art! Where scrapbooking is concerned, it's much easier to see the pages rather than try and gage an idea from a description, so as usual I filmed a video! Here it is;

I hope you're all well!

(Very Late!) Sunday Snippets #19

Dissertation books / Share a coke with... Chloe! / Nerds / Present from boyfriend / Starbucks with a friend / Hayling Island harbour / My foster bunnies! / Treated myself a little / More of the foster babies <33
What an busy week last week was! I know I'm posting this late, but I really have been all over the place. I met up with friends a lot, drove all over the place running various errands, looked after my nephew for a few days, visited our new holiday caravan, picked up my new foster bunnies and spent the weekend out with my boyfriend!

It was a lovely week, unlike this one so far, (but more on that another day!) and I can't believe we're already 12 days into August. Here's last week's Weekly Vlog;

I hope you're all having a lovely day!

Baby Bunnies?! | Meet my Fosters!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm introducing you to my new little sweethearts; Noodles (white lionhead) and Pickle (lop cross-breed). As you can see, they are beyond adorable!

I have taken them on as fosters from Southampton Rabbit Rescue, which means that I will take care of them until they are ready to go on to their "forever home". I'm totally in love with them and would love to keep them, but as of right now I have my sensible head on, and they are not actually my pets; they belong to the rescue.

They're between 8-10 weeks old right now and are both little boys, so within a few weeks hormones will hit and they'll probably start fighting. I want to avoid this at all costs, and I'm currently fundraising so that we can get them neutered asap. Neutering gets rid of all those nasty hormones, and should ensure that they can stay living together happily; something that is really, really important to me. I'm trying to raise about £200 in all, as these cuties also need vaccinating.

If you would like to donate any money to their cause, they have their own gofundme page here; Alternatively, they even have their own PayPal account! If you'd like to donate to their PayPal account, the email address that you need to type in on your PayPal page is :) Please, please don't feel like you have to donate; I just thought it was worth a try and I'm trying to get the word out. Even if you just share the link, that's a great help too!

As always, here's the corresponding video :)

I hope you're having a lovely day,

Project Life Share | Croatia 2014

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately I'm feeling pretty poorly today, and I'm in desperate need of a nap, so I'm not really up to writing the long detailed post that I had intended! I may come back and edit this tomorrow if I have time, but for now I just wanted to say that I've shared my Croatian holiday Project Life pages on my YouTube channel today. For all you mobile device users you can find the video here, (just for you Eb!) otherwise you can view the video below.

I hope you're having a wonderful day!

My Planner Set-Up, and How I Stay Organised!

My name is Chloé, and I'm addicted to planners. Yep, it's true. Planners are a new obsession of mine, and I absolutely love how organised and "put together" I feel since I've been using them properly.

The blue/floral planner was £8 in the Paperchase sale, but unfortunately it's no longer available. It's in the Personal size, and conveniently I use this as my personal planner! Appointments, meetings, social gatherings, university and work schedule... it all goes into this planner. As a scrapbooker, I obviously decorate all my pages! My favourite supplies are washi tape, adorable post-it notes, and of course... stickers. You can never have too many stickers. I wanted to set it up "just-so", so I also used scrapbook paper to create personalised dividers and laminated them to keep them pristine. (Yes, I know I have a problem haha).

The neon pink planner is an A5 Filofax Clipbook, and this is the binder that helps me to organise everything blogging/YouTube related. It was £15 from WH Smith which yes, is extortionate, but it's also the PERFECT planner for organising your posting schedule thanks to the brilliant inserts; (if you'd like to see these, and an in-depth look at both planners, then watch the video below!). I plan every single blog and YouTube post on a monthly insert, and then write myself an in-depth to-do list. I also track my social media analytics in this planner.

As mentioned, here is the video;

Just as a little aside, I hope that displaying my videos within blogposts isn't annoying for any of you. I was really struggling to find the motivation and inspiration to work on my blog, but since linking my videos and posts together (I.E., creating a video about my planners and writing a post about them on the same day) I've been so much more excited about my blog and I feel much more organised. Like I said, I hope having my videos here doesn't bother anyone, as I'm really enjoying the set-up.

Have a lovely evening!

Sunday Snippets #18!

Cupcake's 4th birthday / Morning cuppa / Beautiful edition of Middlemarch / Map I bought my boyfriend / New books / Rearranged bookshelves / Vintage map in my room / Scrapbooking on the floor / Healthy breakfast / Sunbathing / Wreck this Journal fun / Setting up my planner / Cute car air freshener / Yet more scrapbooking / Photos of boyfriend and I, it was our first anniversary last Tuesday / Planning / Making notes / A brand new planner for my blog and YouTube posts / New toys for the bunnies / Magnum love / Replying to penpals / Two of my lovebugs / We bought a caravan for holidays!
Well! It's been three weeks since I last posted a Sunday Snippets, so it was a bit difficult to squish all these photos into one post! Despite the amount of photos I actually haven't got up to very much. I've been scrapbooking a lot, catching up with university reading and I've spent a lottttt of time planning blogposts and YouTube videos; in the next few weeks, I just won't have the time!

If you'd like to see exactly what I've been up to for the past week, I've started weekly vlogging on my YouTube channel and the first video went up today! Here it is;

Have a lovely Sunday guys!

July Reading Wrap-Up!

Hi everyone! I'm introducing something a little different to my blog today. On my YouTube channel I chat about books on Fridays (this post was supposed to go up on Friday, as was the accompanying video... oops!) and I thought you lovely lot might also like to hear about the things I've been reading.

In July I didn't get through as many books as I hoped I would, however I thoroughly enjoyed the novels I managed to finish. First of all I completed The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides, which is widely considered to be a modern classic. This book follows the story of the five Lisbon sisters and their tragic demise, (this isn't a spoiler, the title is obvious!), from the viewpoint of the boys who loved them. I'm going to be reviewing this book next week so I won't go into too much detail, but I really loved the writing style and would give this book 4* out of 5.

Next, I finally got around to reading Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. This novel was truly stunning, and I completely recommend it to everyone. The story follows two white children and their father, a lawyer, who is chosen to defend a black man in court. It was eye-opening, moving, hilarious and heart-breaking in equal measure. This is honestly a superb novel and deserves 5* over and over again. If you only ever read one book, make it this one (especially if you're interested in civil rights!)

The third book I finished was The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I must admit, when I first started reading this novel I had pretty much no idea what its purpose was going to be; the writing style felt messy and unorganised, and I felt like the plot was going nowhere. When I reached the end of the novel, I finally got it and it all made sense. For that reason, I'm not going to give you any information about the story as I feel you need to go on that journey with the protagonist. Once I finally "got it", I could truly appreciate the writing for what it was and for that reason I ended up giving it 5*.

Finally, I read The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick. Oh my goodness, I adored this novel. It had me cracking up with laughter and then crying in sympathy for the characters, which for me is the sign of a very successful piece of writing. The novel tells the story of Pat, who is a man trying to adapt to life outside a psychiatric hospital. It's absolutely brilliant and again, I gave it 5*. (The film is great too, so I'd recommend watching that after reading the book!)

Sorry if that was a little wordy! If you're more of a "watch and listen" sort of person then feel free to watch the corresponding video on my YouTube channel, which I've popped below. I will be reviewing The Virgin Suicides, The Catcher in the Rye and The Silver Linings Playbook next Friday, so keep an eye out for that if you'd like to hear more of my thoughts in detail.

I hope you're having a wonderful day!
